Description
Multichannel output component for IEC 61937 supporting digital interfaces like S/PDIF, HDMI or DisplayPort. Preferred multichannel mode is sending audio losslessly as linear PCM. If the interface doesn't support that but supports DTS, the signal is encoded into DTS format. Output volume adjustment is performed on the signal before encoding it into DTS. If signal is detected to be bitstreamed digital data, volume control is automatically rendered inoperational.
