Audioactive is an MP3 encoder created by a partnership between Audioactive and the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft Laboratory (the creators of MP3)
- Clams to have CD quality sound at 128kbps
- Does well at low bitrates < 128
- Does not support VBR encoding
- Slow encoding, 36 seconds for 4:39 song
