Digital Radio Mondiale is a digital radio broadcasting system created to replace AM. DRM uses HE-AAC and PS-AAC to deliver acceptable audio quality at low bitrates.

DRM can be listened on a computer. All the user needs is an AM receiver connected to his soundcard input and a decoder. The Dream project offers an open source DRM decoder for several platforms. A precompiled Win32 version is available at RareWares
