Description

Record audio from selected sound card input.

Usage

You can for example route external output through foobar2000's DSP chain for playback, or use Converter to permanently save recordings to files.

Use with the following syntax in 'Add location...': record:// or record://[duration in hh:mm:ss]

If duration isn't specified the decoder will allow playing or recording from the input until manually stopped. If you are saving the recording with Converter, you can cleanly stop the recording using the "Stop recording" menu option in the Playback menu. The action will only be visible when you are using the record:// input outside realtime playback.
