The '''HDCD decoder''' postprocessing service component will decode [[HDCD]] data in any 16-[[bit depth|bit]] [[PCM]] stream passed through it by supporting inputs, such as [[Compact Disc Digital Audio|CDDA]], [[WAV]], [[Free Lossless Audio Codec|FLAC]], and [[WavPack]].


Processing may now be disabled by adding a meta [[tag]] "HDCD" set to "no". This tag will completely bar instantiation of the decoder, which has the side effect of barring marked files from the scanner.
