Adds ASIO output support. Useful for rare/obscure soundcards that provide ASIO drivers but no regular Windows audio drivers, as well as for bit-exact output on any soundcards that provide ASIO drivers.
Provides ASIO output support. This component is meant for systems where ASIO is the only available output method. It is highly recommended to use the default output modes instead of ASIO. Contrary to popular "audiophile" claims, there are NO benefits from using ASIO as far as music playback quality is concerned, while bugs in ASIO drivers may severely degrade the performance.

Description

Provides ASIO output support. This component is meant for systems where ASIO is the only available output method. It is highly recommended to use the default output modes instead of ASIO. Contrary to popular "audiophile" claims, there are NO benefits from using ASIO as far as music playback quality is concerned, while bugs in ASIO drivers may severely degrade the performance.

Installation and Usage

  1. Install the ASIO component from the foobar2000 official components site.
  2. Set your output device to one of your ASIO devices. If you do not see any ASIO devices on the list after installing the component, your sound card does not support ASIO.
